| Europe is a continent
where it is estimated that at least 85 percent of all
people live in urban areas. Europe is a continent where
millions of students learn in renowned universities,
like the universities of Prague, Paris, Berlin, Madrid,
Milan, or Athens. Europe is a continent that has thousands
of children and immigrant children playing in urban
areas and looking for something to do. For these reasons,
the Europe Region of the Assemblies of God has a focus.
The focus is Cities, Campuses,
Children, and Culturally-Diverse Communities .
We believe that to effectively preach the gospel and
disciple people into heaven, we need to reach the cities'
pluralistic people groups with their religions; we need
to reach the campuses where ideology and philosophy-but
not God-consciousness-is taught; and we need to reach
the children who are growing up in a society where less
than one-third of those surveyed in a recent Europe
values survey believed in God.

KidsQuest Drug Free Program Continues
November 24, 2009
AGWM Personnel in the Czech Republic, Jason and Andrea Morrison report very positive responses to the KidsQuest Drug Free program for the children there. Recently two local churches hosted this program in their cities. Several schools were visited by the presentation team and over 600 children saw this drug prevention program. Thus the local church was able to make a positive impact in its community.
One student's mother sent the following note in response to the program: "My daughter who is a student in the 3rd grade was very touched by yesterday's presentation. (She) was very excited as she told me about the whole presentation and read through the comic book. She wanted to discuss with me the themes presented and explain what she learned. I thank you for having these preventative events for children. Some themes are difficult to speak openly about with our children. I see yesterday's presentation for the children as a means for good prevention for my daughter."
The Pentecostal church in another town hosted KidsQuest Drug Free in an unconventional way: on the town square! The day dawned rainy and windy; however, by the time it was necessary to set up the stage on the square, the rains stopped and the sun came out! About 130 children, most of whom were gypsies, gathered to watch the one-hour program. Once again, children were reached with a positive message of drug prevention and the church's presence was made more visible in the community.
Every child receives a Christian comic book at the end of the program. The funding for these comic books is provided by Light for the Lost, and Assemblies of God men's ministry project and by BGMC (Boys and Girls Missionary Crusade), a fund-raising effort by the children in Assemblies of God churches.
