A NEW NAME

June 29, 2009

Jennifer, a 20-year-old Nigerian girl, was brought to Barcelona, Spain  with the promise of a job, only to find out after her arrival that the job was prostitution.  She was also informed that she owed 50,000 Euros to the people who had "helped" her get to Spain.  She was a victim of human trafficking.

After a couple of years, Jennifer began attending the International Church of Barcelona pastored by AGWM personnel, Dan and Kathy Stump.  As she drew closer to the Lord, she found the courage to stop prostitution.  But this drew angry threats from the people who brought her here.

About six months ago, Jennifer found out that her father in Nigeria had been murdered because of her refusal to return to prostitution and her inability to pay the 50,000 Euro 'debt'.  Because of her courage, the people who ordered her father's death were  arrested which made national news coverage.  During this terrible episode, God has given her a tremendous amount of strength and overcoming joy.  Recently she even felt like God gave her a new name...Favor!
