AGWM personnel in Vienna, Austria, Kerri Brammeier, relates how the children of Vienna Christian Center participated in a quarterly all night prayer service. This begins at 10 PM and concludes around 4 AM. For this first-ever children's prayer service, Kerri set up different prayer stations that the kids could go to throughout the evening.
Four children showed up for the evening. It began with an explanation of the evening and a challenge that their prayers could be even more effective than that of the 70 plus adults praying upstairs. Kerri led the children in different areas of prayer, encouraging them to pray aloud. After an hour, Kerri suggested a break, but the children didn't want it, wishing to continue praying.
As children continued to pray and praise the Lord, it was evident that the Holy Spirit was facilitating the prayer service, not Kerri. The children were fervently praying for other children, the country, officials, their family, the lost and unsaved! They prayed until their parents came down to get them, and then they did not want to leave!
Kerri comments that "that evening was one of the most powerful prayer meetings I have been in. The kids prayers were so sincere, honest, and real. I have no doubt that they touched the very heart of God that night. Just last month we had our second Kids All Night Prayer and there were 17 kids that showed up. There were powerful discussions on the power of prayer among the small groups. Once again as leaders prayed for each individual child, the Spirit's presence came in and touched the lives of the children Many of them were struggling in different areas."
