Five years ago, an AGWM MK (missionary kid) named Adam began a youth group at ECA (Evangelical Christian Academy) in Spain to encourage students to seek more of God. Years after Adam graduated and moved on, the youth group continues with the same purpose. And it is still called "Adam's Youth Group" or AYG.
Many have been praying for some time for revival to sweep through the halls of ECA, including the current leaders of the youth group. So a special youth service to seek revival in our lives and in the school was held recently. For several weeks there was prayer and fasting by students of the youth group, staff, and parents in preparation for this service. The day of the revival service, more than 20 students and several staff members fasted and prayed during the lunch hour, calling out to God to work in the lives of the students.
And God answered those prayers! For nearly two and a half hours, over 30 students worshipped the Lord, were challenged by the Word, cried out to God in repentance, sought Him for a fresh work in their lives, and prayed for one another. No one wanted to leave. But it didn't end there.
The next morning 18 students came to school early to continue to pray and seek the Lord. And now a week later, students continue to come to a weekly prayer meeting before school. hungry for God.
It's a great beginning of drawing closer to God, being filled with His Spirit, and living holy lives. As demonstrated in the photos, many of the students are engaged in the ministry of street evangelism. God is moving in the lives of these students.
