Assemblies of God World Missions personnel and national leaders from four Central European countries, the United States, United Kingdom, and Belgium met together in Budapest, Hungary. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss future strategies to evangelize, disciple, and train people throughout the central part of Europe. In attendance were representatives of various areas of ministry such as church planting, Bible Schools, Global University, Masters Commission and more. There was time for evaluation, reflection, and prayer for this needy part of Europe.
The group set goals for the next 3-5 years and are planning a follow-up meeting in November of 2008. The goals relate to the development of seamless discipleship and training of individuals, from spiritual birth as new Christians on to Christian maturity.
The educators goal is that every believer should be given the opportunity to have life-long learning resulting in development into the person God intends them to be. Every believer also needs to be trained to reproduce themselves in others. As a result of the work done in this consultation, changes will be made in the way evangelism, discipleship, and training is done in Europe.
