In early October, more than 100 young people gathered in Sarajevo for their first Fall Youth Conference. This was a great time of encouragement to the youth of Bosnia-Hercegovina. Students from Vienna Masters Commission (VMC), directed by Assemblies of God missionaries Randy and Robin Knechtel, came and ministered to them. The VMC team ministered through drama, dance, human video, preaching, and prayer.
The theme of the conference was 'Created with Purpose.' In the opening service, the VMC team presented a multimedia illustrated sermon showing how big God is and how small we are - yet Jesus gave his life for us! Five young people committed their lives to Christ at the close of the service. The ministry continued throughout the weekend along the theme, challenging the young people to believe that God has uniquely created each individual and has a specific purpose and plan for each of their lives.
One of the youth leaders said "It was really encouraging to see young people ministering and preaching to us. It gives us hope that God will use some of our youth in the same way in the future."
The final service concluded with a great time of prayer and worship. The young people thanked the Lord for creating each of them individually and committed their lives to fulfilling His purposes for their generation.
